The basic strategy of Blackjack includes knowing when to take insurance, surrender, double down, split, stand and hit. Well, these strategies can be considered as a set of rules, which have been worked out by a detailed statistical analysis. For every card combination, the basic strategy is something to suggest the next move such that the player will be gifted with highest chance of making some good amount over the long term.

If you are really looking forward to make basic strategy as most effective, then all that you have to do is adhere to all strategy rules strictly. For instance, Doubling Down and Splitting is as crucial for your game as Standing and Hitting. A very important factor, when it comes to deciding your strategy with a given hand is the up card of the dealer and hence, you have to take a look at it.

Those hands, which are 11 or less points, will have the maximum ability to be hit safely making sure that there is no bust witnessed. Hence, it is always good to hit the hand of 11 or less points. However, in some cases, these hands will be doubled down or split on.

Also, make sure that you have never hit those hands, which are having a value of 17 or more points. ‘Soft 17’ is the only exception in this case.

Standing and Hitting

-         Stand on those things above 16

In case if you are having 12 to 16 points, then you should either:

-         Try to hit the card of dealer when it is between 7 and 11

-         Feel free to stand if the up card of dealer is below seven.
